2023 Races In Utah
While we can’t say for sure, anecdotally speaking it sure seems like Utah is the mecca of running races and events each year. From marathons (ultra, standard, and half) to 10K and 5Ks and “fun runs” as we’ll call them (not to mention all the trail, relay, and many fundraiser type running events!), there seems to be a variety of race for any and all across the beautiful state occurring from spring to the end of fall (and sometimes beyond!) each year.
While our participation in such events is fairly limited on a personal level, we do know a thing or two about custom shirts, Utah printing, and shirts for races! And while some kind of competition number or bib is often worn as part of these races there can be no doubt that custom shirts are a ubiquitous part of the events as well.

Further below we’ve outlined every race (of the running/jogging/walking variety) or the best resource(s) for 2023 races that we could find.

While races in Utah vary by location (from Bear Lake and Ogden in the North to Moab and St. George in the South), level of seriousness (think Ultra Marathons contrasted with Halloween 5ks), and season (races in Utah literally stretch the entire calendar year from the early Southern Utah running events in Janury through to Thanksgiving and sometimes even December) we’ve organized the 2023 running races we could find largely by the type of race as we believe that is the first real filter people will use when evaluating the wide range of Utah running races to participate in. 2023 Utah Ultramarathons
For those of you looking for something longer than your standard marathon (think 50 or 100 miles!) in Utah for 2023 the most comprehensive list we were able to find for Utah Ultra running events comes from Ultra Running and can be found here. If you’re an ultra runner there is no shortage of races for you in gorgeous Utah!
2023 Utah Marathons
If you’re not quite an ultra runner but are still looking for a challenge here are some of Utah’s biggest marathons as well as several resources that include even more options.
Many of the Utah marathons below also include a half marathon, 10k, and 5k race. We’ve noted any additional race events for each of the marathons. Specific race and registration information is for the marathon portion of the event only.
Salt Lake City Marathon
One of Utah’s most well-known marathons also includes a half marathon, 10k, 5k, and a Kids K amongst other events.

Ogden Marathon

Utah Valley Marathon
Sometimes called the Provo Canyon Marathon, this scenic marathon runs from Wallsburg through Provo Canyon. The event also includes a half marathon and a 10k.

Morgan Valley Marathon
The Morgan Valley Marathon (northern Utah) also includes a half marathon, 10k, and 5k.
