2023 Utah Pickleball Tournaments
By both anecdotal experience - which we’re sure you can confirm if you live in Utah - and a slew of sources and studies, pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport. This simple yet fun paddle sport has taken the country by storm over the last few years.

Pickleball Tournaments In Utah
While there are only a handful of officially sanctioned pickleball tournaments in Utah each year there are many tournaments run by cities and other facilities. We’ve listed both below so no matter your skill level you can find a tournament to play in or attend and watch the pros effortlessly and endlessly dink at the kitchen line.
Professional Tournaments
There are currently two official pickleball tours - the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) and the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) - as well as Major League Pickleball (including the Utah Black Diamonds). It’s complicated. MLP doesn’t currently have any events scheduled in Utah as it is in its infancy and only currently has events in Arizona, California, Florida, and Georgia. Likewise, the APP doesn’t have any 2023 tour stops in Utah. But there are two PPA events in Utah in 2023 and the details can be found below.
2023 PPA Events in Utah
April 4 - April 8, 2023 - Selkirk Red Rock Open
Held at the Little Valley Sports Complex in St. George, Utah the Red Rock Open will have the full schedule of events including men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Additionally, there are amateur matches as well.

August 15 - August 19, 2023 - Tournament of Champions
This event will be held at Rees Pioneer Park in Brigham City with details forthcoming at the time of writing.
Pickleball Tournaments For The Rest
Assuming you’re looking for a tournament to participate in beyond the amateur portion of the two big 2023 PPA events in Utah, there is still a plethora of other options to test your pickleball skills against fellow Utahns.
